Title IX and VAWA protections

The University does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the education program or activity that it operates and is required by听听补苍诲听听not to discriminate in such a manner.

The requirement not to discriminate in the education program or activity extends to admission and employment and inquiries about the application of Title IX and 34 C.F.R. Part 106 may be referred to the University鈥檚 Title IX Coordinator, to the听Assistant Secretary of Education听or both.

Sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking are forms of sex discrimination, which are prohibited under Title IX and by University policy. For a complete copy of the policy or for more information, please contact the Title IX Coordinator.

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment), in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the Title IX Coordinator contact information.

Pregnant and Parenting Students

Since the passage of Title IX, sex discrimination - including discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, childbirth, and parental status - has been prohibited. Title IX regulations state that an institution that receives federal funding must not discriminate against any student on the basis of pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions.
